OCEC to host 50 major events this quarter

Muscat - The Oman Convention and Exhibition Center will host more than 50 major events in the last quarter this year, managed by its events team.


Engineer Saeed al Shanfari, CEO of the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, said, "The last quarter of 2022 will see us hosting more than 50 events, which will be attended by more than 300,000 people."


Among the events that have been lined up is the Oman Tourism Forum on September 27 and 28, which will attract more than 300 representatives from the Omani tourism sector, and the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair's ISEF Middle East Awards on September 29, which will see the participation of over 1,000 people.


The Oman Food Exhibition and the Oman International Health Conference and Exhibition will be held from September 26 to 28.


In October, Al Shanfari said the center will host events focusing on science, technology, innovation, agriculture, and the fresh produce sector, and a fashion show.


On October 10, the Al-Nimr International Company will organize a three-day exhibition/Edutrack Oman on October 24, followed by Project Oman and Oman Exhibition for Security and Fire Safety on October 25.


The Oman Maritime Conference will be held from October 24 to 27, focusing on the marine heritage of the Sultanate of Oman, communication, and cultural exchange between hundreds of representatives from the sectors of marine logistics, marine supply chains, port management, fish farming, and marine marketing. it is expected that more than 2,000 participants and visitors will attend.


Oman Nights (a musical and cultural program) to be attended by over 2,000 participants will be held on November 2-3 while the Muscat Arts Festival will be held from November 3-4.


The 89th UFI Global Congress will be held from November 14-17, which will see the participation of more than 600 delegates from 50 countries.


During this period, OCEC will also host a special event for football fans for 21 days as Qatar hosts the World Cup.


Among others, the Muscat International Jewelry Exhibition will be held from December 1 to 5, the Green Hydrogen Summit and Exhibition from December 5 to 7, the Airports Council International Conference on Innovative Airports 2022 from December 7 and 8, and the Oman Agro Exhibition from December 11.
