Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday issued a Royal Decree reading as follows:
“Royal Decree No 59/2022 on amending some provisions of Royal Decree No 5/81 “on regulating the Sultanate’s land use and development, and its Executive Regulation”.
Article (1) replaces the wording of Royal Decree No 5/81 “on regulating the Sultanate’s land use and development” with the wording “Regulating the Sultanate of Oman’s land use and development”. It also replaces the wording of Royal Decree No 88/82 “Endorsing the Executive Regulation on regulating the Sultanate’s land use and development” with the wording “Endorsing the Executive Regulation on regulating the Sultanate of Oman’s land use and development”.
Article (2) stipulates the amendments attached to the Executive Regulation on the Sultanate of Oman’s land use and development.
Article (3) stipulates that the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning is entitled, after the approval of the Council of Ministers, to amend the aforementioned Executive Regulation on regulating the Sultanate of Oman’s land use and development.
Article (4) cancels all that contradicts this decree or the attached amendments or contravenes their provisions.
Article (5) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publishing."
