TANUF: The Tanuf Summer Centers and the 10th Holy Quran competition concluded its activities for this year. The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Shaikh Saif bin Sultan al Nabhani at the Abu Jafer Farm Hall in Hay Al Saad last week.

The centres aimed to encourage students to memorise the Holy Quran, imbibe its moral lessons, refine their skills and abilities, and groom them for community service.

More than 470 boys and girls participated in the events held in five centres. The turnout reflected parents' interest in teaching their children the Holy Quran.

The centres included teaching the Holy Quran, the Prophet's Hadith, and the Arabic language, in addition to organising open forums for students.

Ali bin Mohammad al Riyami, General Supervisor of the summer centres, thanked the entities and individuals who supported the activities of the summer centres in the village. Al Riyami also praised the huge turnout at the 10th Tanuf competition for memorising the Holy Quran, which included six levels. The sixth level was held for those over 50-years-old.

Shaikh Saif bin Sultan al Nabhani and Dr Umayya bin Batti al Riyami honoured winners, sponsors, teachers and volunteers.
