Dhofar has mesmerising green plains by the coast and much more vegetated mountains specially in Khareef Season (July, August and September) caused by its monsoon.

Known in antiquity as Green Arabia, in reference to the mountains covered with green flora where cows and camels graze together, the coast of Dhofar offers an original environment for a hike in Oman. No doubt about it, hiking routes are fun. Especially in a region like Dhofar where there is plenty to discover.

Getting to Wadi Ain Rub

Wadi Ain Rub is located in Wilayat of Rakhyout in Dhofar Governorate, about 2 hours drive from Salalah. In order to get there, you will have to hike for about 45 minutes, which is approximately 1.5 km one way and for those who like to enjoy a cool swim during a rewarding trek, in the end there is a natural refreshing turquoise water swimming pool.

3.It’s advised to wear long trousers to avoid getting snapped by thorns.

4.Oman takes great care in being an eco-friendly country. While going on treks, do carry a spare bag for trash to avoid littering these trails.

6.Don't damage any of the plants along the way or pollute any of the water bodies.
