Muscat: The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) in the South Al Batinah Governorate reported that a citizen died after drowning in the Wadi Al Hoqain in the Wilayat of Rustaq.

He was pulled out by citizens and taken to the hospital.

Earlier this week, a citizen died of drowning in Wadi Darbat on Monday, according to the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA)

He was taken to the hospital but his life couldn't be saved.

CDAA urged people not to swim near waterfalls and beaches to avoid unfortunate drowning accidents.

Oman Meteorology has warned that tropical depressions are often accompanied by heavy rains, active winds, and high sea waves, which can pose dangerous situations in short periods at popular tourist places such as wadis and beaches.
