SAI chairman receives INTOSAI representative

Muscat: Shaikh Ghosn bin Hilal al Alawi, Chairman of the State Audit Institution (SAI), received Abdelhakim Ben Lazreg, Representative of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), in Muscat on Thursday. The initiative is an affiliate of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).


The meeting reviewed several topics related to financial auditing and Accounting. It also touched on the importance of exchanging expertise among audit institutions and expanding technical interaction with regional and international organisations.


Al Alawi affirmed Oman’s keenness in contributing actively to the activities of the INTOSAI in general and the IDI in particular. On his turn, the IDI representative valued SAI’s efforts in supporting the initiative and hosting the regional seminar on strategic management held in Muscat from July 31 to August 4. — ONA
