Shura chairman receives written message from Bahraini counterpart

Muscat: Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura, received a written message from Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, on Tuesday.


The written message revolved around coordination in issues related to legislative work between Majlis Ash’shura and Bahrain’s Council of Representatives with the aim of enhancing benefit and acquiring experiences through exchanged visits and joint coordination meetings.


The message was delivered by Dr Juma bin Ahmed al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman when he was received by the chairman of Majlis Ash’shura in his office.


The chairman of Majlis Ash’shura welcomed the ambassador, hailing the strong bilateral relations. He reviewed the existing cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain.


The meeting touched on topics of concern to the two councils in various areas particularly the legislative field and ways of improving it to serve the interests of the brotherly countries.


The meeting was attended by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura.
