Adam: The Ministry of Education on Saturday launched a summer programme for students of the Al Dakhiliyah governorate’s schools.

Over 200 boys from various schools are taking part in the programme that will help instil values of national pride and social duties and boost creative skills, which will run till August 10.

The programme aims to build a positive and balanced personality in all psychological, social, cultural and religious aspects. It includes many activities, workshops, and competitions covering science, innovation, information technology, entertainment, sports, arts, music, literature, entrepreneurship, heritage and tourism.

Mohammed al Maawali, Director of the Department of Vocational Guidance and Student Guidance at the Ministry of Education and chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the summer programme, said, “The programme targets students from the third to eleventh grades of different categories, levels and interests. It will be held in Adam Center in the Wilayat of Adam, Abu Saeed Al Kadmi Center in the Wilayat of Al Hamra, Umm Ayman Center in the Wilayat of Izki, and Mariyah al Qibtiyya Center in the Wilayat of Samayil."

He added the summer programme for school students comes as a continuation of the efforts of the Ministry of Education in presenting its educational mission and strengthening its societal roles outside the students’ curriculum, by providing educational activities in which knowledge is mixed with application and entertainment in a flexible manner in an informal atmosphere. — ONA
