Special Olympics international shooting clubs to be established

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has directed the establishment of Special Olympics International Shooting Clubs to preserve the cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman.


"With the blessing of His Majesty the Sultan, the Supreme Commander, a decision has been taken for the establishment of the International Special Olympics Shooting Clubs as one of the sports, social and educational facilities supervised by the Oman Shooting Federation with the aim of preserving the cultural heritage and encouraging national competencies to practice this sport," the official statement said,


Shooting competitions around the world in order to develop and grow.


The establishment of these clubs is expected to help groom youngsters who will participate and compete in international and regional competitions.


International shooting is one of the Olympic sports practiced in most countries of the world and is governed by specific laws and regulations set by the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF), and aims to standardize the management of shooting competitions around the world in order to develop and develop this sport.
