Ugandan Cheptegei won 10,000M world title

Ugandan sprinter Joshua Cheptegei won the world championship gold in the 10,000 metres at the World Athletics Championships, Oregon 2022 on Sunday.


While Cheptegei, the Olympic title holder, finished the race distance with a time of 27.27:43 minutes which is considered the best time in his season, while the silver medal went to Kenyan Stanley Waithaka Mboro with a time of 27.27:90, and compatriot Jacob Kiplemo won the bronze with a time of 27.27:97.
