Muscat: Oman Animal and Plant Genetic Resources Centre (Mawarid)—affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation—has declared open the registration of applicants wishing to contest the annual innovative challenge programme (Manafaa). The programme, being organized for the fifth year in a row, runs till December 22, 2022.
The programme seeks to encourage innovation in addressing challenges such as air pollution and climate change. It focuses on artificial intelligence applications, medical and curative products, clean energy, sufficiency in energy consumption, environment-friendly systems of air sanitation techniques and innovation systems for the reduction of emissions and climate change.
