Higher education ministry signs agreement for governance in training institutions

Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation signed here on Tuesday an agreement of cooperation with Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability (OCGS) and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for the governance in private training institutions.


The agreement was signed by Dr Muna Salim al Jardani, the ministry’s Undersecretary for Vocational Training, Sayyid Hamid Sultan al Busaidi, CEO of OCGS and Eng Mohammed Ahmed al Ghareebi, External Affairs and Communication Manager of PDO.


As per the agreement, the ministry will oversee governance in private training institutions, while OCGS will prepare and implement the charter for governance in those firms. The project will be funded by PDO.
