Pact inked on adventure tourism at Al Jabal Al Akhadhar

Al Jabal Al Akhadhar: The Ministry of Defence, represented by the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), and the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism signed an agreement on training in the field of adventure tourism at Al Jabal Al Akhadhar “The Green Mountain”.


The agreement was signed at the Combat Training Centre in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhadhar, Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah. It was inked by Brig Abdullah Mohammed al Badi, Director General of Training and Inspection at the RAO Command, and Said Harib al Obaidani, Director General of Tourism Development, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.


The agreement deals with cooperation in the fields of auditing and training on adventure activities. It provides that the Combat Training Centre—being the party tasked with auditing and training on security and safety systems—undertakes adventure tourism activities in a professional and secure manner.


The signing ceremony was attended by Maj Gen Mattar Salim al Balushi, Commander of the RAO, Azzan Qassim al Busaidi, Tourism Undersecretary, and Brig Said Zayed al Habsi, Commandant of the RAO Academy, among other officers.
