

Muscat: His Excellency Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, on Thursday, held a meeting with Andreas Michaelis, Secretary of State at the German Federal Foreign Office, to discuss the growing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, which came as part of the official visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Federal Republic of Germany, the two parties reviewed the existing cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Germany in various fields.
On the importance of His Majesty the Sultan’s visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the two sides said it represented a new start that would broaden further the relations between the two countries, and achieve more cooperation and partnership, especially in the economic, investment, renewable and green energy fields, as well as scientific and cultural cooperation.
They also exchanged views on a number of issues and developments on the regional and international arenas, stressing on the importance of dialogue and diplomatic methods to address differences and conflicts in the world in order to achieve peace and stability.
Senior officials attended the meeting from the two parties, including ambassadors accredited to the two countries.
