Salalah: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) on Tuesday said they have retrieved the bodies of two people who were swept away by the waves at the Mughsail beach area.

“Bodies of the missing child and a person were found at the Mughsail beach area in the Dhofar governorate by the rescue team of the CDAA. Search for the rest three are underway, using all available means and aids in exceptional circumstances.” the agency said in a statement.

Eight people of a family were swept away by strong waves at the Mughsail beach area on last Friday. People managed to rescue three safely but others could not be saved.

CDAA along with the help of the Royal Airforce had launched an intensive search operation to locate the missing persons.
