Salalah: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) on Wednesday said the agency in coordination with the Royal Air Force of Oman has intensified the search operations for the missing persons at Mughsail beach area and Raysut in Dhofar.

"The search and rescue teams continue their efforts to search for the remaining three people from the missing family in the Al-Mughsayl area, and for one of the missing expatriate workers in the Raysut area in the Dhofar governorate, after they were swept away by high tides earlier to the sea. The Royal Air Force is supporting the search and rescue teams in the process of combing the beaches of the Al-Mughsayl area," the agency said.

Meanwhile, the Met Office said there is a possibility of the formation of a tropical depression in the northeast of the Arabian Sea near the Indian coast next Friday and Saturday, with no direct impact over Oman.
