Tanzanian president meets female managers, CEOs in public, private sectors

Muscat: President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania met in Al Alam Palace on Tuesday with female managers and CEOs from the public and private sectors of Oman and Tanzania.


The meeting was held to discuss the importance of enhancing relations of cooperation in various fields. It also explored the role of women in development, as well as in boosting trade and investment exchange.


The meeting also covered a spectrum of topics, particularly empowering women at the international level and at the level of leadership positions in fields of business, economy and policy. It also touched on topics related to joint cooperation between Oman and Tanzania.


The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Dr Rahma Ibrahim al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (Head of the Mission of Honour), Asilah Salim al Samsami, Investment Promotion Undersecretary and Saud Hilal al Shidhani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Republic of Tanzania. It was also attended from the Tanzanian side by Dr Pindi Chana, Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Ambassador Mbarouk Nassoro Mbarouk, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and Abdallah Abasi Kilima, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Sultanate of Oman.
