Muscat: The Oman women's futsal team blanked Italian club Genoa with 6-2 in the concluding friendly match which is part of the under way external camp in Italy.
Oman team goals registered by Tharaa Ali al Ismaili, who scored 3 goals, Linat Youssef al Maslamiy who scored two goals, Heba Hammoud al Asimi and Naira Nasser al Amri who scored one goal.
The team is under direct supervision of Syrian coach Maha Jund and her assistant, Azhar Jassim al Bahrani and Reham Hamdan al Shezawiya.
The match was extremely difficult due to the two teams featured great technical skills and an Italian team showed advanced level including their high physical fitness during the whole match. With the conclusion of this this match, then women's futsal team will have a positive recovery session, prior heading off to Saudi Arabia to take part at the third West Asian Championship in the under way month of June. It will be the first presence of the Omani women team in the tournament and this will be opportunity to determine the itinerary of the team and to stand on the technical level of the players.
