Turtle returns to Oman shores after 31 years

Muscat: After 31 years, a green turtle returned to the shores of the Sultanate of Oman to nest in the Turtle Reserve of South al Sharqiyah Governorate.

The Environment Authority (EA) said its specialists were able, through an advanced tracking system, able to monitor the turtles that were numbered on March 30, 1991, by the retired Rashid al Ameri.
