Salalah Port ranks second among most efficient ports worldwide

Muscat: The Port of Salalah bagged second prize among global ports in the Container Ports Performance Index (CPPI) 2021 issued by Standard and Poor’s (S&P) Global Market Intelligence Agency.


The Port of Salalah took sixth place in 2020 CPPI.


S&P listed the performance ratings of the 100 top global ports after collecting performance timestamp data from 164,500 visits to ports worldwide. The data indicated 257.4 million container freights of 826 stations in 371 ports, and the agency made its ratings accordingly.
