Deputy PM for Defence Affairs receives Chinese National Defence Minister

Muscat: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs received in his office on Thursday Wei Fenghe, State Councilor and Minister of National Defence of the People’s Republic of China.


The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between Oman and China. They also discussed several matters related to fields of joint military cooperation and ways of enhancing them to serve the interests of the two countries.


The meeting was attended by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Sultanate of Oman and the military attaché in the Chinese embassy at Muscat.
