MUSCAT: Oman Beach Soccer team clubbed in group A beside UAE, Kuwait and Lebanon teams at the West Asian Beach Soccer Championship which will be held in Saudi Arabia from 16 to 21 May 2022. The draw of West Asian event took place on Monday in Amman city. The hosts Saudi Arabia led group B which featured also Bahrain and Palestine teams.
Each group will play the matches on the league system from one leg match. The first and second places will advance to semi-finals. Then the winners from two matches will move to the final match and compete on the title. The remaining teams that did not qualify for the semis will play to determine the positions from fifth to seventh positions.
Oman will commence the campaign at the Championship against UAE on May 16 while Kuwait will face Lebanon in the same day. The conclusion match of the opening day will be between Palestine and Saudi Arabia.
