Oman, Kazakhstan celebrate three decades of cooperation

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kazakhstan on Wednesday marked the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.


A communique issued by the two countries said that the last three decades contributed to bolstering the bilateral relations in various fields on the basis of mutual respect of sovereignty, the integrity of lands and non-interference in internal affairs.


The communique added that mutual visits, bilateral consultations and forming parliamentary friendship associations contributed to promoting the cooperation and relations between the two countries. It also said that joint coordination led to an increased support in several international positions. Oman and Kazakhstan also reiterated their keenness in promoting cooperation in all spheres.


The communique affirmed that the two countries laid the foundations for consolidating fruitful cooperation in various political fields related to regional and international issues, as well as in economic, cultural and scientific arenas.
