Al Bahrani is the CEO of the automotive, construction equipment and renewable energy (ACERE) cluster of Mohsin Haider Darwish Group. He was listed as one of the top 100 most prominent CEOs in Oman who are playing a major role in Oman’s quest towards development, diversification, sustainability and self-reliance.

Three candidates are competing for the vice-chairman post including Mohammed bin Ramadhan al Balushi, member of Majlis Ash'shura and representatives of Wilayat of Al Amerat, Eng Saif bin Mohammed al Barwani and Momtaz bin Faqir al Balushi. All the three nominators have good background in sports and youth field as they had involved in different sporting entities.

Ahmed bin Marhoon al Hadi is confirmed for secretary-general post as he is the only candidate for this position. The same is the case for the only candidate Said bin Darweesh al Balushi for the treasurer post.

Six candidates will run for the competition of board members seats including Fawaz al Wahaibi, Salim al Hadi, Rashid al Balushi, Ayoob al Hasani, Abdullah al Rahbi and Omar al Shibli. The election will be held in the meeting hall at the Omani Women Association in Al Amerat.

Earlier in last January, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, has unveiled the Council of Ministers’ approval to announce sports and culture clubs in some wilayats including Al Amerat club from Muscat Governorate. The decision was within the context of the Royal attention accorded by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to sports and culture clubs — given their role in honing the skills and talents of youth and serving as podiums for cultural, sports and youth activities.
