RIYADH: Oman News Agency (ONA) chaired the 48th conference of the General Assembly of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), which began here on Tuesday.
Chairmen of the new agencies expressed their thanks and appreciation to ONA for the sincere efforts it exerted while chairing the previous term. ONA strived to promote the level of cooperation among the member news agencies.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Press Agency was elected as a president of FANA for the new term.
The two-day conference discusses means of enhancing media performance of the member news agencies at the regional and international levels, as well as reviewing FANA's activities during last year and its agenda for this year. - ONA
