His Majesty issues two Royal Decrees

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday issued two Royal decrees reading as follows:


Royal Decree No 14/2022 introducing amendments to the State’s Administrative Apparatus.


Article (1) stipulates that the amendments attached to this decree shall apply to the system of the State’s Administrative Apparatus promulgated under Royal Decree No 75/2020.


Article (2) cancels all that contradicts the amendments attached to this decree or contravenes their provisions.


Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on the day following its date of publishing.


Royal Decree No 15/2022 introducing amendments to Royal Decree No 31/2012 on the establishment of the National Centre for Statistics and Information.


Article (1) replaces the text of First Article of aforementioned Royal No 31/2012 as follows: “A centre titled National Centre for Statistics and Information shall be established and shall report to the Council of Ministers”.


Article (2) the term “Minister of Economy”, wherever it has occurred in the System of the National Centre for Statistics and Information, shall be replaced with the term “Council of Ministers”.


Article (3) cancels all that contradicts this decree or contravenes its provisions.


Article (4) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
