73% satisfied with mobile services

MUSCAT: An opinion poll conducted by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) to measure satisfaction of the users of telecom services, showed that 70 per cent of the participants are satisfied with the fixed line communications services, while 52 per cent are unsatisfied with the prices of fixed broadband Internet services.


QUALITY SERVICES


It showed that 65.4 per cent of the respondents said the quality of services is generally excellent, while 84.5 per cent said that the branch offices of their service providers are suitably located. Of those polled, 74.2 per cent affirmed that their service providers play an effective role in redressing users’ issues while 86 per cent said that the customer service employees are always ready to provide help. Regarding mobile telecommunication services, 73 per cent of the participants said they were satisfied with the mobile telecommunication services, whereas 45 per cent were of the opinion that mobile Internet services are overpriced. The opinion poll indicated that 76 per cent of the participants recommend their service provider to friends and relatives. Fifty per cent of Omanis and 90 per cent and residents opined that the quality of mobile telecommunication services are generally excellent. — ONA
