Unveiling Magical Dining Experiences this Ramadhan

One of the central activities in Ramadhan is the preparation of iftar and suhoor meals, an important tradition observed not just in homes but across different establishments all over the country.


For those who wants a unique dining experience for iftar and suhoor, Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Muscat welcomes the Holy Month of Ramadhan with an elaborate traditional setup to mark the blessed and generous season.


A Sumptuous Iftar Buffet at Al Tanoor


Located in Al Bandar hotel wing, Al Tanoor restaurant is serving a delicious Iftar buffet, offering the best of traditional Ramadhan delicacies inspired by local, regional, and international cuisines, from Maghrib prayer onwards. Available after sundown until 10:30 p.m. daily, Iftar is priced at OMR 20 net per person. The extensive buffet spread will showcase hot and cold mezze, Omani specials, a variety of regional dishes, mixed grill, and classic desserts, along with traditional Ramadhan beverages and live entertainment.


Layalina Tent and Lounge


Set on the resort’s private beach, “Layalina Tent & Lounge” extends unforgettable Suhour experiences to guests and residents of Muscat who can enjoy a relaxed elegant, air-conditioned ambience, or a captivating setting by the outdoor lounge. Layalina presents an à la carte selection of local delights, hot and cold mezze, traditional Ramadhan juices and sumptuous grilled food to the sounds of traditional Arabic artists. Open daily from 8:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., Layalina Tent & Lounge is available for a minimum spend of OMR 10 per person.


Ramadhan at Home


Guests can also experience Ramadhan at Home by Shangri-La with a sumptuous family and friends iftar featuring a bespoke menu where guests can choose one selection of main: Omani Lamb Shuwa, Lamb Ouzi, Persian Grill or Saffron Turkey Biryani – all accompanied with a variety of Ramadan delights along with a selection of hot and cold mezze and more, all served family style for sharing for OMR 87, serving up to 6 people. Pickup and delivery options are available.
