The grand finale of the Twenty 20 MTCL, organised by the Muscat Tennis-ball Cricket League (MTCL) in association with Oman Cricket will be held in front of a capacity crowd at 7pm on April 7 at the Al Amerat Cricket Grounds.

The teams, Cosmos Thalassery and Michael Eleven are the finalists which comprise players from Oman, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh.

As many as 2,500 players who have shown their mettle in various local, regional and international matches as part of 92 teams from across the country took part in the first of its kind tournament of excellence inaugurated by Iqbal Ariwala, Chief Administrative Officer of Oman Cricket.

Organisers of the mega cricket tournament were excited to have the tournament generate an overwhelming response from both the teams, players and the audience alike to the week-long cricket tournament.

Cosmos Thalassery defeated Al Khoudh Cricket Team while Michael Eleven flew their flag high after they defeated the erstwhile runners up, Kingfisher Cricketers in the semifinal that filled the gallery with cheers last week.

The organisers further informed that the MCL 16, the MTCL Mini League that hosted 40 teams from across the length and breadth of the country will also be held in the second pitch at the ground on the same day. Muscat Star Brothers and Muscat Super Kings will be vying for the crown.

“Entry to the mega event would be free from 6pm and all cricket enthusiasts are invited to be present to witness the grand finale at the Al Amerat International Cricket Ground,” said KC Shaheer, Mohammed Rafi, Anuraj Rajan, Saju Raghavan and Deepak Thanki, the members of the MTCL organising committee.
