An Oman resident from the Indian state of Delhi has launched her music on Zee Music which has since been the talk of the town with more than 35k views in the first five hours and still counting.

Pratibha Sharma, a trained classical singer, who launched her second single 'Glass Khaali' with Zee Music with Shefali Zariwali and Ankit Siwach in the video has the credit of five albums in her singing career.

I have done 4 cover songs before. But I have always aimed for singing my own song. My decision became firmer than any time before in the last few months and I made up my mind to execute the idea.

Pratibha hit the headlines for her first single Pasand Aaya, a romantic song that has been watched by more than a million since last year is now coming with a hardcore party number and this peppy, high-energy and fun track out on Zee Music is climbing the charts quickly.

“I am happy with the response to the song. This is my second song, it's a peppy number and I am sure people will like it. I have always wanted to sing my own songs, make my own identity. Romantic songs are my forte, but this time I played with my voice and sang a dance number. It's a very special song and super close to me,” Pratibha, whose role model ever is Late Lata Mangeshkar, shared her excitement about the song.

About the theme of the song, Pratibha said, “Well, when life gives you a lemon, you make lemonade and go for bottoms-up. The Glass Khaali is about dancing through your day-to-day problems.”

Before crooning original songs, Pratibha Sharma broke the Internet with back to back hit cover songs.

It has been a long journey for Pratibha. For her, singing has been her passion since her childhood and started getting trained at an early age. Since studies took precedent over singing, she has to educate herself. After completing her Master's in English honours, she moved to Dubai with her husband.

"But I always wanted to sing, with little effort, I got back in the groove and started singing cover songs. I moved back to Mumbai recently to pursue my dream, my first song did very well and now my second song is out. I have a long way to go but I am determined,” her voice was affirmative.

Like many others, Pratibha Sharma also draws inspiration from Legend Lata Mangeshkar. She added, “I have been and will always be a religious follower of Lata ji. I believe she is an ace singer and has been my inspiration since I was a kid."

A singer whose voice is said to best suit Deepika Padukone is an aspiring playback singer in Hollywood.

"I aim high and strive to reach the destination with full zeal and diligence. I aspire to become a playback singer and work with some renowned names in the industry. I would also want to try the Punjabi songs as I feel there is tremendous scope in Punjabi cinema for singers and I have that ardour while I sing that can bring life to a song. I am also open to connecting to the audience and so willing to accept offers for stage performances.

Now her dream is to work with legends of music such as AR Rahman, Pritam da, AmitTrivedi and Shankar Mahadevan.

She has her hopes pinned on the Oman audience which has a group of sound Bollywood lovers.

"I would love to promote this song in Oman too and I know people here will love this dance number," she adds.
