MUSCAT: National Bank of Oman (NBO) welcomed Somesh Thapa, Second Secretary at the Nepali Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman, to its headquarters in Athaiba to reinforce the bank’s commitment to supporting expatriate communities across the country and raise awareness of NBO’s affordable international remittance services.

Tariq Atiq, Chief Retail and Digital Banking Officer at NBO, said, “As part of our commitment to providing customers with convenient banking services, we understand that being able to provide for families and loved ones overseas is vital to so many communities. In just three clicks using the award-winning NBO Mobile App, customers can transfer funds quickly and safely, and see confirmation that the money has reached the recipients’ account. We would also like to remind customers that they should only use officially-licensed transfer agents or approved apps from banks across Oman.”

NBO customers can easily send funds ranging from RO 5 to RO 7,500 directly from their account in a few simple steps using the NBO Mobile App and Lite Mobile app. The app is available in various languages, including Arabic and English, with competitive exchange rates on every transfer. The first instant transfer is free, while subsequent transfers are priced at the low rate of just RO 1.5.
