Social development ministry launches 20 e-services

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development on Monday launched the 1st phase of the ministry’s digital transformation project, which covers social security and social support services, comprising a total of 20 subservices.


Dr Laila Ahmed al Najjar, Minister of Social Development told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the launch of the first phase of e-services is considered a vital step due to the wide range of services provided by the ministry to citizens.


Al Najjar added that the ministry is looking forward to launching another phase of its project which will cover social security services and other services for people with disability.


She further said that the ministry faced many challenges in providing social services due to the nature of each case, social variables and the occurrence of changes and modifications to systems, regulations and laws.
