Muscat - Oman Airports Company welcomed the decision to include the Khasab Airport project 'Phase One' in the tenth five-year plan (2021-2025).

Ayman bin Ahmed al Hosani, CEO of Oman Airports, said these directives will strengthen the engines of economic and tourism growth, especially in the Musandam Governorate, which is the eastern gateway to the Sultanate of Oman.

He said the implementation of the first phase of Khasab Airport will complete the development airport network alongside airports in Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, and Duqm, and will attract tourists and investors to the Musandam Governorate.

The government aims to attract 1.2 million tourists annually by 2040 to the governorate.
