The Department of Culture, Sports and Youth of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate gave away prizes to the winners of the clubs competition for the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of Shaikh Rashid bin Said al Kalbani, Wali of Nizwa, at Nizwa Cultural Centre theater. Ahmed bin Mohammed al Harassi, Director of Culture, Sports and Youth Department, was also present at the event.

Sheikhan bin Rashid al Abri, Acting Director of the Nizwa Cultural Centre and Head of the work team, spoke during the ceremony. "The Clubs Competition for Cultural Creativity carries many benefits and advantages. It is not just a competition as usual, but a strategic project adopted by the ministry for important goals. The major goal is discovering youth talents, refining them, highlighting them at the local and international levels, and encouraging them for more creativity and innovation."

The competition was held for two groups; short story writing for children aged 10 to 15 years and poetry writing, folk arts theatre, short films and photography for adults aged 16 to 30.

In the first stage, more than 300 participants in various fields competed. The youth committees in the clubs began preparing for the competition by promoting it, registering participants in the competition's electronic system, and conducting the preliminary qualifiers at the club level.

During the closing ceremony, the winners of the eloquent poetry and folk art competitions presented several poems. A video of the first and second stages of the competition was also shown.

Then Wali of Nizwa honoured the winners of the first places at the level of the two governorates.

The youth committees of the eight clubs, members of the work team, and collaborators in implementing activities and competitions were also honoured.
