State Council chairman receives French senator

Muscat: Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, received Olivier Cadic, the French senator for French citizens living abroad and President of the France-Gulf States Friendship Group, within the framework of his current visit to the Sultanate of Oman from March 5 to 8.


The chairman of the State Council commended the existing relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and the French Republic, hoping that the visit will enhance cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries.


Senator Olivier Cadic expressed his happiness over his visit to the Sultanate of Oman noting that his country attaches great attention to fostering cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman to cover several areas to the benefit of both countries. He added that his current visit to the Sultanate of Oman comes within the framework of preparations for future visits by the members of the Omani French Friendship Association.
