Omantel will host its second webinar to discuss 5G technology, its potential, and its impacts on the Sultanate of Oman's information and telecommunication sector and consumers. The company, which was the first to introduce 5G technology in the Sultanate, will be hosting a series of webinars to focus on this frontier digital technology. The first webinar was held on November 23, 2021, under the topic, “5G Beyond Speed”.
The first webinar received tremendous response, with the participation of heads of ICT/ IT departments of Omantel’s enterprise customers in the government and private sector, stakeholders from the public and private sector and academia, journalists, and social media influencers.
The second webinar, which will be held on March 9, 2022 under the topic “5G...Unlocking new potentials”, will host three speakers who will share their thoughts, strategies and insights into the latest developments and advantages of 5G technology.
Baha al Lawati – Vice President of Enterprise Business Unit at Omantel, will focus on the role of 5G technology in unlocking business potentials. Dr Abdul Razaque Memon, Vice President of 5G & IoT Solutions at Huawei Middle East, will share his views on the importance of 5G for the Fourth industrial revolution and the necessity of ultimate and fast connection without disruption.
Fahad al Abri from Omantel Technology Unit will present a case study on the Use of 5G in Sohar Port to improve port operations (PoC).
