MUSCAT: The State Council will convene its fourth regular meeting of the third annual session under the chairmanship of Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman, on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the State Council will discuss a study submitted by the Social Committee on enhancing water resources, desert and mountain sports. It will also discuss two proposals submitted by the Technology and Innovation Committee for studying the Cyber Defence Centre system promulgated by Royal Decree No 64/2022 and the regulatory and legislative frameworks of artificial intelligence technology.
The council will also discuss a study submitted by the Economic Committee on ‘strengthening the legislative and regulatory frameworks of real estate financing, financial leasing and consumer financing activities’. Besides, the council will deliberate the committee’s proposal on a study entitled “the agricultural sector: economic returns and competitiveness’. The council will approve the minutes of the third regular meeting of the third annual session.
The meeting’s agenda includes reviewing a number of reports submitted by council’s members, messages received
by the State Council from authorities and the secretariat-general’s report on the State Council’s activities during between the previous and current meetings. — ONA
