Muscat: The Ministry of Labour (MoL) on Thursday reiterates that any private establishment with 50 employees and more should assign an Omani citizen to supervise works of health and occupational safety at worksites.

The ministry had previously announced the Omanisation of the profession of a specialist in occupational and health safety for establishments that employ 50 or more workers in the private sector.

In an online statement, the ministry points out that according to the ministerial decision 4/2021, the owner of the establishment in which 50 or more workers are employed must appoint an Omani supervisor for occupational safety and health.
