After Muhammad Waseem was scalped by Khawar Ali for 35, Muhammad Usman and Basil Hameed stitched together a 58-run partnership for the fifth wicket that set them on course for victory.

Just when it appeared UAE was losing direction in their chase came the ninth-wicket partnership of 43 runs between Kashif Daud and Zahoor Khan.
