Arab FMs hold consultative meeting in Kuwait

KUWAIT: The Sultanate of Oman took part in the consultative meeting of the Arab foreign ministers, held in the State of Kuwait. Oman’s delegation was led in the meeting by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister.


The meeting reviewed a range of current issues of concern to the Arab countries. It also reiterated the importance of solidarity and cooperation among the Arab countries in dealing with the challenges facing the Arab region.


The meeting also laid emphasis on enhancing pillars of security and stability and realising aspirations of development and prosperity for leaderships and peoples of the Arab countries.


Meanwhile, Shaikh Mishal al Ahmed al Jaber al Sabah, Deputy Emir, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, on Sunday received the Arab foreign ministers participating in the consultative meeting, hosted by Kuwait.


Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, conveyed greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Shaikh Nawaf al Ahmed al Jaber al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.


The meeting underscored the importance of Arab solidarity and cooperation towards regional issues; the foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.


It also touched on regional and international matters of common interest.


The meeting was attended by Shaikh Sabah al Khalid al Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait. — ONA
