Muscat: The new Suhar Souq was opened by the Governor of North al Batinah Governorate.
The market includes four entry gates, the first linking the market with the old buildings from the north side and ending at the creek, while the second is located on the southern side and starts from the market, passing through the mosque.
The market consists of two floors, where the ground floor has 26 shops and a restaurant.
The market building is inspired by the Sohar Castle and some Arab historical buildings.
The new market is distinguished by its sea view and the proximity to the waterfront.
The management will soon announce the operators for the restaurants, including on the first floor overlooking the sea.
Suhar Municipality has been providing several facilities to tenants, including exempting them rents for a period of 6 months from the date on which the rental contract comes into effect.
The tenants can use the official media accounts of the municipality or the market to promote their stores and products for free for a period of one year.
