MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources on Tuesday took part in the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFAA) 2022.


The online forum is hosted by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, in collaboration with the Bundesrat, from 24 to 28 January 2022.


Oman’s delegation is headed by Dr Ahmed Nasser al Bakri, Undersecretary for Agriculture.


The forum, which brings together the representatives of more than 70 countries and 10 global organizations, covers a range of topics related to international agricultural policies and food security.


This year’s forum is themed, “Sustainable Land Use: Food Security Starts with Soil”. -- ONA
