Oman Data Park (ODP), the leading provider of IT managed services, says the Sultanate of Oman has well-established infrastructure to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) service offerings.

The revelation came at a workshop held in Muscat here on Wednesday. Participants reviewed the AI roadmap of ministries, cybersecurity solutions and the framework of planning AI projects.

The event, which saw the participation of 30 government units, discussed the technical support provided by ODP’s Nebula AI, which is powered by Nvidia and hosted in the Sultanate of Oman.

Eng Maqbool al Wahaibi, CEO of Oman Data Park, said the workshop contributes to achieving the goals of the Sultanate of Oman’s National Programme for Artificial Intelligence. The national programme aims to enhance the productivity of targeted sectors for economic diversification and to develop human resources in the AI field, among other goals. (With inputs from ONA)
