Avani Muscat, a new four-star hotel property constructed at Al Seeb with an investment of around RO 23 million, was formally inaugurated here on Monday.

Owned by Safari International Group and managed by Minor Hotels chain, Avani Muscat features 206 hotel rooms, 45 apartments, a 700-seat capacity ballroom, meeting rooms and other amenities. The opening was held under the auspices of Eng Isam bin Saud al Zadjali, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, who underlined the property’s importance to the country’s broader goals to develop a strong tourism and hospitality sector.

Ismail bin Yaqoub al Toby, Chairman of Safari International Group, said the hotel’s location within proximity of tourist attractions in and around the capital city, as well as key commercial landmarks, positions it well to attract business, tourist and other travellers.

Set on an area of 20,000 sq metres, Avani Muscat adjoins the popular Al Araimi Boulevard mall, which also has a wide choice of dining outlets and a multi-screen cinema. (With inputs from ONA)
