Al Somod Team of Nizwa Club and Al Wadi Al Abyad School for Basic Education, in cooperation with the municipality department in Nizwa, organised a youth cleaning camp to prune trees and remove weeds and waste near the school in the town of Al Ghubra in the Wilayat of Nizwa.
About 60 participants of different age groups from the team and school students participated in the camp from morning till noon.
Asad bin Masoud al Rashidi, Secretary of Al Somod Team, said: “Volunteering has a great importance in serving the community and Al Somod Team always strives to serve the community.”
The team has previously conducted cleaning camps, which included cleaning the town of Alayat Nizwa, mosques and aflaj, as well as the streets especially after the rain.
Al Rashidi extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all participants in this social work.
