

Muscat: The Central Blood Bank said that there has been an increase in the number of blood units collected in 2021, compared to the previous year despite the difficulties and challenges due to the outbreak of the Covid-19.
"This increase was due to the demand to donate blood and its components and we are pleased to extend our thanks and appreciation to all donors who contributed blood to patients and those in need."
The media also highlighted the role and importance of donating blood and so are the volunteers who conveyed the humanitarian message to all members of society, the blood bank said.
