MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health (MoH) signed on Monday an agreement with the Petroleum Development Oman and CC Energy Development to fund the construction of Renal Dialysis Unit at Adam in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.

Dr Fatima Mohammed al Ajmi, Under-Secretary of Health for Administration, Planning and Financial Affairs, signed the agreement on behalf of the MoH. PDO was represented by its External Affairs and Communication Manager Eng Mohammed Ahmed al Ghareebi, and on behalf of CC Energy Bader al Sariri, Head of ICV & External Affairs.

Dr Al Ajmi stressed the importance of cooperation between the private and public sector to achieve the public interest’s needs, praising PDO and CCED initiative to spearhead Corporate Social Responsibility in the country and dedicating special attention to the health sector.

The agreement is part of the two companies’ keenness to strengthen their social responsibility in delivering meaningful improvements and creating sustainable benefits to the local communities as well as broader Omani society.

It should be noted that the project will serve the increasing demand of renal dialysis service in both A Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta governorates.
