Muscat Municipality to reinstate tax on all commercial activities and establishments

Muscat: Muscat Municipality has issued a circular to business owners stating that the tax on all commercial activities and establishments, which were stopped as part of the stimulus packages, will be reactivated from January 1, 2022.


As per the economic stimulus plan, hotel establishments, tourist restaurants, amusement centres and parks were exempted from municipal tax until the end of 2021.
