MoH announces revised vaccination dates

The Ministry of Health, represented by the General Directorate of Health Sciences, has announced the revised dates of vaccination for both Omanis and expatriates.


"All health centres would continue to provide Covid-19 vaccines for Omanis, from Sunday December 12," said Dr Nihal Afifi, Head of Primary Health and contact point for vaccination.


Accordingly, citizens of Seeb wilayat will be given vaccination from 8am to 8pm at the University Health Centre while people of Bausher are to get it from Al Khuweir North Health Centre between 8am and 8pm. The citizens of Muttrah wilayat will receive vaccination from Ruwi Health Centre from 8am to 2pm while people of Muscat wilayat are to get their doses from Muscat Health Centre between 8am and 2pm.


Amerat Health Centre is all set to provide vaccines for people from Amerat wilayat (8am to 2pm) and Sahil Health Centre will provide vaccination to Omanis of Quryat wilayat from 8am to 2pm.


Vaccine for non-Omani citizens would be at the old airport building which was the Field Hospital earlier from 8am to 2pm and no previous booking is needed for getting the dose.


In total, the country has administered at least 600, 000 doses of Covid vaccines to various target groups so far. This indicates that 59.6 per cent of the country’s population has received 2 doses of the vaccine. However, nearly 65 per cent of the people have been vaccinated with one dose.
