

Muscat: The Directorate General of Health Services for the Governorate of Muscat will provide vaccination to school students of the age group 12 years and over at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center and Al Sahel Health Center starting from Tuesday, August 3
. Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health said last week that the first dose of vaccination for the age group 12-18 years will start before the end of this week.
"There is a cooperation between the Ministries of Health and Education to vaccinate the age group between 12 to 18 years with the first dose of 320,000 male and female students, which will help them to return to classrooms in the next semester," he said.
The Ministry is continuing a campaign to vaccinate the target group from 18 years and over in alls of the Sultanate as well as the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine for those who have completed '10 weeks' from the date of the first dose for the target group in the campaign.
MOH stressed the need to book 'in advance' appointments before heading to immunization centers to ensure a safe and accessible operation for all.
